Server setup command
/setup
/setup is the first command you run after installing CFBCBot. It checks subscription, install state, Live Score Grid sport choices, channel routing, and posting state, then tells you the single next action to take.
Permission: server owner, Administrator, or Manage Server.
What /setup checks
Every run re-reads the server's subscription status, whether the bot is installed, which sports the Live Score Grid posts, where each post lane is routed, and whether automatic delivery is on. Instead of a wall of settings, it surfaces one next action — connect billing, install the bot, route a channel, or run a delivery test.
When to run it
Run /setup right after install, any time delivery stops, after you change channel permissions, or whenever you are unsure what state the server is in. It is safe to run repeatedly: it reports state and points to the next step, it does not change delivery on its own.
After setup
Once /setup reports that routing and posting are ready, run /scoreboard test to confirm CFBCBot can post images in each channel before game day.
Common questions
Do I need admin to run /setup?
Yes. The Discord account must be the server owner or have Administrator or Manage Server so CFBCBot can confirm the server and unlock installation.
Does /setup change my channels?
No. /setup is read-only guidance. Channel routing and posting changes happen through /scoreboard.
